In search of the most cost-effective flash travel, Southeast Asian countries are definitely the first choice. Taking advantage of the flight offers, I decided to open a new travel map—a three-day, two-night flash trip to Danang, Vietnam! Staying in a five-star hotel, tasting Michelin-recommended restaurants, and relying on Grab’s ride-hailing service for transportation throughout the journey, I played luxuriously and enjoyed myself, and the total cost was only HKD $3,000! Departing in the Off-Season, Traveling Smart
Affected by the rainy season, Danang’s travel off-season is from October to April of the following year. Although there is occasional rainfall, it is one of the best times to stay in a five-star resort hotel! Staying in a five-star resort hotel averages only about HKD $400 per night. The hotel I chose has an excellent geographical location, right next to the My Khe Beach recommended by National Geographic. There are massage parlors, convenience stores, and facilities nearby. Since it was my first time traveling to Vietnam, I paid special attention to safety issues, and the rain situation in the rainy season is unpredictable, so I preferred to choose a hotel with everything needed. The hotel is equipped with a gym, an infinity pool, a buffet restaurant, and massage and beauty services. The rooms are innovative and well-maintained, with even the most basic room types featuring terraces and abundant sunlight. Even if there are showers, it feels beneficial to rest in the room for a while.

Cheap Michelin-Recommended Restaurant: Eat Authentic Vietnamese Dishes Freely
Danang is not only afforadable for accommodation, but the price of food and drink consumption is even more surprising! The first stop on arrival was a Michelin-recommended restaurant in the city center, focusing on traditional Vietnamese dishes, with exquisite decoration and affordable prices. There are also major attractions such as the Pink Church and Han Market nearby. Even in the tourist off-season, the restaurant was still full of people. We placed an order for four dishes and three drinks, received prompt service, and found the average cost per person to be about HKD$100. The staff service was thoughtful, and after the meal, they would invite you to leave a favorable review on Google and give away drinks. Although you need to queue, the cost-performance ratio is extremely high, and it is definitely worth visiting again!

Han Market Bargaining Strategy: A Must-Learn; Understanding the Fine Line Between Vacation Style and Massage Parlor Staff Is Essential.
Next, we went to the Han Market, which is known as a shopping paradise for tourists! The first floor sells Vietnamese snacks, coffee, and various souvenirs, but the products are much the same. The second floor mainly focuses on casual clothing. The clothing is full of vacation styles and is very suitable for taking photos. Many tourists will buy the same patterns as family outfits or couple outfits. The sizes are complete, and the shop’s tailors can alter them on the spot. But remember, you must bargain for half the price when shopping here! After all, it is a tourist area, and the pricing is usually on the high side!

Exotic Burger, Unforgettable Avocado Taste
Danang is a popular vacation spot for European and American tourists, so the standard of local Western food and burgers is excellent. In the evening, we went to an American-style retro burger joint near My Khe Beach. The decoration style integrates American retro and Vietnamese elements, which is very suitable for taking photos and checking in. The shop’s brand creation is strong, and there are also boutique brand items available for purchase as souvenirs. We ordered two burgers and meat sauce fries. I don’t know if it’s because tropical fruits are abundant here or for other reasons, but the freshness of the avocado was amazing! I have never eaten an avocado with such a fresh taste. If you are pursuing health, the salad here is also a tasty choice, but at the same time, to cater to European and American tastes, the food tastes are on the heavier side. The peanut milkshake I ordered was too sweet to swallow. If European and American tourists hope to find familiar tastes, this place is definitely the first choice. For the avocado burger, I will definitely visit again next time.

Hot Stone Massage for a Perfect Ending
When traveling in Southeast Asian countries, massage is definitely the top priority. Near the burger joint is the My Khe Beach tourist area, which mainly focuses on food and massage and is not very suitable for shopping. If you want to go shopping, this place may not be the best choice. We finally chose a 45-minute hot stone full-body massage, which cost only about HKD $100 per person. Spending another HKD $30 for the fare back to the hotel, the cost-performance ratio is super high, drawing a perfect end to the first day!
